Ricky, My posted was ment to mean that 3 dogs in the house, especially one being a pup would to much to handle.
Too much time is needed when a pup is being introduced to two older dogs.(you have to be with the pup 100% of the time while with other dogs)
As for the training, I will introduce the pup to all training commands. My wife will only reinforce when I'm away. A two handler dog, yes it will be!
I understand the training will take longer in one way. Then maybe it will be better as the pup will not be pushed to hard. On the positive side, proofed to the command as we move along.
Thanks for your concerns about our new pup. I too looked long and hard at all possible concerns befire making this decision. There will be problems as we go along. With the help of the members on this Board and a few friends helping we should overcome all problems.
Ricky, again thanks for you concern. as you mentioned they were my main concern for sometime also.
I think most on this board, even those of us not doing it professionally, look at dogs as a life style. For me, dog training is not an effort, it's a great way to spend the day. Another dog is just another part of the day. I'd rather play with my dogs than watch the Super Bowl. Damn! I don't drink, smoke, or gamble. Been there, done it all. I gotta have something to keep a boreing old man occupied.

olde, it seems that we the AARP group have common interest. Yep! been there done that(some of it people only dream about or see on TV and some to be ashamed for)
I would say that I spend more Quality time with our two dogs then most do that are home every day.
Yes it is one hell of as committment to raise a dog much less a pup. All depends what your lifestyle is geared up too. No childeren/just dogs gives you plenty of extra time for our K-9's.
"SOMETIMES I THINK OUR LIFE IS GOING TO THE DOGS"
We wouldn't have it any other way.
Beside I know that I'll have enormous assisitance from the Boared members. This is not my first pup.
Ok Superman calm down. I was just reflecting back on Butch's posts. It seems like he had alot going on, thats all. And he said he is older and works away from home 14 days at a time. I never said I could not keep up with my pup. Just offering some thoughts, sorry to have bothered you. You should be proud of your accomplishments and time management skills. Not everyone has that skill set Mike.
Butch: How about all this attention you are getting?
"Thanks for the vote of confidience"
It's just you have to manage your time as Mike wrote. I'mn sure most do the same that are on the Board.
Again Thanks, Mike!
Ricky, I knew what you were saying. No hard feelings.
Hell I'm getting almost as much attention as my two dogs.
Just offering thoughts on the flip side. I mean how many disasters have you seen come in and out of this board? "My dog bit so and so, My dog peeed here", and on and on. I like the board alot. You can just see that from Ed's Q and A s and here that most are not owners like Mike. I did not mean to upset anyone especially Mike Russell. Anyways. But for the record, I have no problems keeping up with my pup.
Good luck.
