ok me being an aussie im gonna keep my mouth shut but i do disagree with prong collors being banned i could realy do with one for Krakka my little fox terrier X border collie and e-collors i cant even get here in hicksville
some of the comments are quite anti australian we arnt that bad honestly
im puplic joe i had walk my mums border collie who even with a check chain aka choker he pulls like a Husky pulling a sled i get back and my arms are about 5 inches longer at least my mum got a border collie knowing she had no strengh in her hands or amrs thinking there easy to train well it was true till he relised that he was stronger and pulling lets him go faster i havent walked that bloody thing in over 4 months (i like to be able to move my arms the day after walking a dog) i have tried a head collor or what ever ya wanna call them i know a harness will make him pull more a normal flat collor is a joke a prong im willing to try but they are banned the bloody goverment has managed to make it impossable to walk this loverly dog hes a great dog besides i cant walk him
my mum also has a basset X rottie both her dogs are just family pets
little Krakka my fox terrier X border collie is a house pet she doesnt even bark at the door  and at 18 female and single having a dog to scare away would be intruders would be a good thing but Krakka invites them in 4 a cuppa (at least im never gonna get charged with keeping a dangours dog lol)shes about 8 months old and unspayed as yet shes fed pedergee pal im changing to the BARF diet as the comerical crap is not agreeing with her and she doesnt eat much of it most of her energy comes from the meaty bones and treats she gets my biggest problem is she wont heel on command she knows what i want her to do but the bird up ahead in more important then my voice its not like she can pull me along shes only 12 inches tall but its a pain in the ass shes gets all submissive with a head collor and i know they dont work with some dogs and they look like a muzzle and thats not great when ur trying to get ppl to greet her when walking shes great with kids and all ppl but she hates my father (so do i so shes got good tast)
Kira, can you get a springer over there? Make the dog pull the bike until they won't pull you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .
WARNING: Once you start using the springer, it has to be done regularly. Once the dog gets used to running several miles a day full tilt locking them up inside without exercise just won't do. My family had problems with this when I left for college because my brother had image issues with riding a beat up pink and purple roadmaster around. I offered to paint it camo and he said that was worse  .
