At. . .uhmmm. . .this pet superstore. . .uh. . .(whisper) PetSmart, they have the small guage fursavers, you know the ones with the smaller links. I think the smallest chain lenght is 16 inches.
I have an 18inch on my 7 month old bitch right now.
I like to use the smaller link fur savers, they come in a thick gauge like the large link ones, but those are hard to find, the smaller gauge ones are easier to find, I have them in stailess and corugan. Years ago I got my finger stuck in one of the "standard" large link fur savers as my dog wrestled to get loose to bite the bad guy and it felt like ripping my finger right off....I looked for the smaller collars after that ....
