Your right Will. I'll try better to control myself.
About dogs then. What about Gep z. PS he is a Congo son anybody ever see him work? I don't know anything about him except that he was sold to Vom Banach from Jinopo.

Brian-I hope your edited content wasn't for me bro? Anyway I have heard Gep came to the US because he too is a little soft? Again what I've heard...the dog is only a couple hours away and I haven't seen him myself. Also is he owed by Vom Banach or just leased/loaned for breeding. I heard he is on loan. I would hope a dog like Congo could reproduce himself but I haven't seen or heard of anything close myself. I hope the 1.5 year old mentioned turns out to be super. Like VC I have tested a couple Congo sons for others...both dogs where 95-100lb stallions...great working conformation and man gorgeous heads and bone. Both also very friendly and social dogs. One dog had the drive of a good family pet...plays ball for 3 minutes then is done. But a great pet and great with kids.....they came to me because he wouldn't work or bite and a couple other trainers got heavy handed on the dog and told the people he was crap and they were crushed. Nice dog...just not a worker. 2nd dog had a sport dog mentality which is great for most people except he didn't have the speed and snap to put on energetic routines. But the people came to me as I train more for police type/ security work versus sport. This dog was 21/2 and had the routine down..he just wasn't real emotional or into the fight..but he was a dog who did it because he was asked to and he loved his owner. However he was not "real world" material for police type work. He really didn't enjoy it and without his owner this big strong dog wet himself...literally. I live out in the middle of nowhere and he was tied out in the woods and had the owner leave...10 minutes later and he was still wining and getting tangled up. I just quietly stalked the dog in a crouch got within 15 feet and he caved...I felt horrible. I went from stalker to just petting the dog and untangling him and walking him back to his owner where he acted like a puppy and was so glad to be back. Now alot of/most dogs don't pass that test but he came apart before I even made a sound or a fast move at all. Both of these people love their dogs to death but they thought they were getting different dogs when they paid $1800 or whatever for the puppies.
No it wasn't toward you at all Derek. I actually tried to edit the post myself after I read it but this site doesn't allow you to edit your own posts like some. I'll try and watch myself a little better from now on.
Anyway yeah I know nothing about Gep so that info is good to know. I did hear from some other people that some Congo son's do mature extremely late but 2.5 has got to make you wonder that is for sure. It is just so odd to hear these things because from the one I know and talking to a couple of other Congo son owners they are awesome. I have been watching Savo who is the Congo son I know since he was a 9 week old puppy and he has never showed signs of avoidance and was willing to charge into any situation. It sure would be nice to hear from other people that own some Congo progeny. I wonder how the Congo daughters are?
By the way you can now edit your own posts on the site. I just tried it and it works. So I should say the old site wouldn't let me.

I agree Brian lets get some more info on Congo offspring and it would be cool to get more info overall about what the VDH kennel is producing because the same "wrap" if you will really exists about Faro also producing soft soft dogs and being a flash in the pan etc etc I hear people catagorizing these dogs in the group of dogs "Wow those
europeans sure know how to build value in a dog then unload the highly marketed loser to America for big big dollars" personally I would love evidence to show otherwise
More info would be nice. The pup that i will be geting is a congo son crossed with Grim on the mothers side. I am hopeing that everything will be as i am looking for but it is a luck of the draw with any breeding.

David who is the Congo son your pup is coming from? I have nothing but good things to say about Grim blood. It is pretty heavy in alot of Czech pedigrees with good reason. He was a super dog himself and is know for producing especially good trackers. I have a Grim grandaughter and we had a 3x3 on Grim litter with Pluto z PS and got the best puppy I've ever seen. Grim is a little more sporty and Pluto is more hardcore via his father Chuligan. The female I have is a 99-100 tracking dog any day of the week...great natural nose and tracking desire. Hope your pup turns out great. Derek
Congo will be the father of my new pup. I guess that i should explain things a little better. Sorry. Good info on grim thanks. I plan on doing lots of tracking with this pup. all along with protection, obedience, and anything else that I can do.

I had talked to Jean myself several time few months back regarding one of his 8 months old male pup out of Faro and Denny Jipo Me. This dogs is kind of 'soft' and i have in communicate with another sibling of the same litter in europe, she is also have some issue with nerve and confident. I do not sure if this is Faro's issue or Faro x Denny simply don't click.
Interesting discussion on Congo. I'd be interested in some honest opinions. My dog is out of a Vikar bitch(Lens). She is out of Mat z Danaru.
His sire, Janosch von der Germanenquelle, is out of Xato von der bosen Nachbarschaft.
I've only seen the mother Lens work. Excellent, of course! She's going to be at a trial in Moline Il. this week end.
What's the thoughts on these dogs? I'm more than happy with my dog Thunder, but I'm always interested in knowledible opinions on his background. Go ahead, I can take it!
As I posted earlier I have two Congo dogs. My male is a Congo grandson and my female is a Congo daughter. My male is more laid back over all, but has not shown any lack of confidence as far as committing to a bite. In fact when he does work protection you can see a change in him. He will go from mister mellow to mister asshole in a heartbeat. His grips are hard and full and he hits like a train. I have been working with Les Flores and he tells me that I will probably lose points in a trail because my dog is an a-hole and its not always a game to him. My female is a Congo daughter and I absolutely love this dog. Her drives are off the hook. Training her has been such a walk in the park. She will take a bite anywhere she can get it and her focus on me while we work is excellent. I could go on and on, but who couldn't when talking about their dogs. All I can say is that I am very pleased with what I have gotten from Congo.
As to the Congo Grim combo. I have worked three Congo/Amalka zPs dogs and every single one has been a tough SOB. I don't have very many shirts without holes in them because of a Congo/Amalka daughter that a friend of mine has. All three Congo/Amalka dogs that I worked had no problem taking a live bite or bringing the fight to me.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion which is what makes this forum so great. I would like to know what other dogs are good or produce top quality offspring.
