See, this is another area where we disagree. Sure, I wouldn't mind having a pup from a bigtime breeder that has been doing it a while, IF it appeared they had a plan that they were working towards and producing reliably, rather than just selling pups on "name value." OTOH, I will not dismiss a newer breeder, and will see if there is something from them that fits what I need. Just because someone is just starting out, doesn't mean that they're all alone, you never know who's mentoring them and assisting in "steering the boat." A great dog can come out of an inexperienced breeder just as well as one can from an old time breeder, it's just that you EXPECT the experienced breeder to be able to do it reliably (which sometimes isn't the case).
