ron...if you're looking for a true"working line" dog or pup, then your options are many as far as breeders go.you should be able to get solid advice from this board.i've only been into the "working line" for 4 yrs.i'll assume that a fair number of board members(thru their love of the breed in general)have been thru the "gsd mill"...american show,german/american show crosses, german show...then after much frustration we graduate to the true"working-lines"!i can truthfully tell you this...when a "leerburg dog"steps on the trial field, people take notice!and all of the one's i've seen(or seen scores of)exibit very good, flashy obedience and dynamite protection!i read your "bio",and i see that you're a hunter,i'll be willing to bet that you've seen some of the well bred hunting dogs that always seem to preform above the rest!do your research, decide how much dog you can(or are willing)to handle and have FUN!

Mike and Todd, you guys crack me up. Well, I never offer my own litters to anyone unless they ask about them, usually I just ask what they like and point them in directions. I'm not one to push my own dogs (kind of funny huh?) but rather show people what's out there and let them decide for themselves. Sometimes I know about quite a few litters that are not advertised and some would never know about them.
I realize that this is Ed's board, and he breeds, that's why I will not openly advertise any litter (much less my own) on it.
I'm just here to share info, and you know that, Kampster.

Hey now, don't get defensive, I didn't imply anything. . .just simply pointed out that both of you are working line breeders, both of you posted to this thread, and both of you have links to your websites in your signatures.

Thanks vanKamp for pointing that out...it slipped by. No wonder I am a visitor and not a moderator.
Yall gave me some food for thought, and its greatly appreciated. I will continue to search whats out there and hopefully the "BOSS" will email me with a new annoucement that the stork is coming. Leerburg dogs seem to crop up in the Pedigree of ALOT of top breeders lines. its not by accident. Come on Ed, pull some strings with your stud dog here! (lights an ITS A GIRL Cigar)
Thanks yall.

Roger..
I do my homework and seach the net daily. Have for Months. I HAD a Brawnson son that wouldnt pass his Bh if his life depended on it, as his social skills sucked. Other than that, he was awsome. Thought I had a good one.
Here is a Question for yall. How many Great stud dogs, schutzhund dogs, working dogs, can PRODUCE themselves? THATS the trick. Agree? (This ought to start world war three)

ron...indeed,how many high level studs produce themselves?guess you'll have to put that query to someone who knows more than me!i saw BRAWSON at the nationals(02-gasden,al)super dog!i also saw BASTIAN KORKELTAL,again...super performance.there were 4 BASTIAN pups out of 3 bitches(1 blk-afra indepromade,1-kimmi nesselsac(sable) and another bitch that i'm not sure of)surprise,surprise...all four pups were BASTIAN'S color!one of the pups from BASTIAN/AFRA is a super heeling pup(see kennel seeblick's site)there is also an OTIS/HOLLY son here in birmingham that is "throwing himself",as a matter of fact, the young dogs even walk like OTIS!there is also a ORFEY ANTVERPA/HOLLY EICHENDORFSCHULE son here that will come to your house, take your lunch money, poop on your lawn and reproduces himself.there's a big red sable male in the area also(line bred-timmy/troll,greif,ico ardhaus, asko seiglegrund, ect, ect)that has thrown himself with different bitches.i've also seen good results from a MINK son in the area...lets hear more!
