watch ebay, look at amazon.com....it was reprinted and those should not be more than about $75 -90 maybe...the older ones are collectibles...and worth big bucks....I got extremely lucky when I first got interested in teh sport and found an old copy at a kiosk in the mall one weekend for 10 bucks!!! It has a few yellow highlight marks in it, so the guy told me although it was extemely valuable, he had it knocked down to a reading copy price!!!

Ya know, Some people I know still belive in if the GSD is timid (shoot it) or give it away which ever comes first. That's how I got my GSD. but boy did he regrete it after he seen what I've done with her.

Randy, there is a difference between being able to overcome problems, and wanting to pass the same temperament on to the next generation.
Way back when I seriously doubt there were as many people out there that wanted these dogs as pets, so the only option was to keep or shoot. And if you couldn't spay a dog the only way to make sure that it didn't reproduce was to shoot it. Judging by what happens when all dogs are allowed to breed (a.k.a. AKC), I think that shooting was the kinder long term option. Now there are other methods to remove a dog from the gene pool.
I hope to one day live up to the quote in my signature. Who cares about speaking human when you can speak dog? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Randy, there is a difference between being able to overcome problems, and wanting to pass the same temperament on to the next generation. But Randy, correct me if I'm wrong, but you are planning on breeding this timid dog, right?
