Scott the treadmill was not only to exercise him but to get him to concentrate and stay focused on the exercise instead of running around endlessly. Anyone else have some input? I think this is a good thread. This is a great show.
I have a reservation for his next seminar which is comming up next month. It will take place at his LA location and we will see his "pack" in action. I'll let you all know what I learn from Cesar when I get home.
I think it's a good show but I'd actually like to see more of what he does. I feel like you only see really before and after, I want to see more of the inbetween stuff. Maybe some bloopers or a mistake.

I dont think Ive miss an episode yet! I have learned alot as well and enjoy his personality. Anyone see the show with the gsd named Pepsi? That was a good one too.
I love the Dog Whisper and I watch it whenever I can! The episode with the beagle I missed, but whenever Ceasar puts an animal on the treadmill it is to refocus its mind onto something more positive. Everybody knows that physical exercise makes a person feel better both physically and mentally. People buy or adopt purebred dogs that were bred for specific jobs and then expect them to be happy confined to a backyard. Even the loveable mutt needs a job, or at least plenty of quality excercise. Ceasar uses the treadmill to not only refocus the dog's mind, but to give the dog an outlet for its energy in a calm, controlled manner rather than running frantically all over the yard, or developing neurotic behavior.
I think the best thing about this program is the fact that Mr. Millan lets people know in no uncertain terms that they are largely responsible for the dogs unwanted behavior. He isn't judgemental, which I think is why people love him, he just lays it out in a matter of fact way and then shows them how to change their body language to become a calm, assertive pack leader. I love the way he always stresses calm and assertive!
I'm going to marry Ceasar when I grow up! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I won't mention the fact that I am 10 years older than he...and he's married. **sigh** always something.

I have my DVR set to record every time he is on. I have yet to miss an episode. The one thing he says at the beginning," I rehabilitate dogs. I train people", is right on the money.
If Ceasar ever divorces his wife, I will race you to LA. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have seen this episode (and all the others), and I believe that there are -- very infrequently -- producing/editing issues. I've seen him in action here in California and I personally find him flawless. I know no one is really perfect, but he is darned close (in my book).
He has a new book coming and a video released last month.....finally. Nothing beats his seminars, but they are not frequent. He tends to stick around his family and his pack and his work.
I have been planning on attending one of seminars this year. He has one in Ohio in October and one in TN in November. The only problem is you cannot bring your dog to the seminars. Just have to find someone crazy enough to handle my dogs for a day or two.
