The "positive" side of a "no dogs allowed" policy lies in the area of enforcement. If you have a dog in a "no dogs allowed" area - you are wrong, cut and dried. Sort of gives the enforcement officers a world of black and white to live in with no shades of gray to have to deal with. Unfortunately, simplifying things for enforcement purposes isn't always fair to the general public! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Happily, our policies here pretty much run along the line that dogs are allowed and unless they are a problem, they are welcome back anytime. When we have problems related to campers and their dogs (a rare instance actually) the owner is cited and on some occasions they are made to leave with their dogs. Seems like they ALWAYS have the same parting words, "Well, WE won't ever be back here again". Gee, since they had to be doing something terrible to have been asked to leave, we really truly hope they are telling the truth! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Our county in Virginia has a 100$ fine for a dog off leash in the park, but no fine for failure to clean up after your dog :rolleyes:
