Well, I did get my dog..........kinda. I'm going to be keeping an Austrailian Shep for SAR training. I'm going to try for the Flinks seminar regardless, but, will I benifit from it by bringing the new to training, in progress, SAR dog with me? I'm used to being the odd one in the crowd.
Olde, let me try to understand this.

How could you not BENIFIT, except by not going.
I wish I could send you Fanni and let you take her.
What we need is a Flinks Seminar in Houston/New Orleans/Dallas. Then it would proberly be when I scheduled for work.
Sooner or Later I will have the Privilage of Attending one of Bernards seminars.
Butch, I'll take Fannie anytime you want to send her........ Oh! You mean to the Seminar.
To rephrase my question. Would this benifit a SAR dog. I know the principals of the Drive Focus and Grip are foundation training for most anything. Correct? I've trained lots of dogs but I'm still learning to be a dog trainer.
I can hardly wait!!! I know I'll learn something just by showing up. Seems that Bernhard is a good trainer of dogs and teacher of people...this can't be said of everyone.
Hey Old Earth dog...bring your Aussie! You are right-- the drive, focus and grip work is the foundation for all kinds of dog training. Just remember if Deanna is there to keep your glasses on!!
Debbie,
Can't wait to see you and meet Sherrill. Are you bringing Winnie? I hope so!!
Butch, Always thinking about it. Looking forward to Fannies pics.
Cindy, I'm gonna tape them to my head..........and try not to fall asleep in the grass.
It looks like I talked my husband into letting me go. It is so close and I *can* get some work done on the way there.
Just stop by the barn in Bristol and say "Hi,how are my horses doing" and leave lol.Well I will ride a few and sign a couple of contracts. See I willl do SOME work lol
I don't have a dog to bring but this sounds great to just get the chance to watch and take it all in. First thing in the am I'm calling to fork over my money lol
I know I will get alot out of this even without bringing a dog
