Thanks for all your help. He went today!!!!! I am not going to cancel the VET APPOINTMENT today just in case. But will keep you posted.
I went to get pumpkin and could not find any in local stores yesterday so went to the pharmacy and got a fiber laxative that we give to out infants when they get constipated.
Gave 1/8 spoon in 8 ozs of water and gave some lentile with spinach...don't know what worked but toady in the morning HE WENT. I am soooooooooo releived now.
I am going to have a second look on RAW DIET - BONE AND MUSCLE%
Well, then you might want to tell that to my wife and one of our bitches! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> The bitch was having constipation issues and my wife fed her pumpkin and it just plugged her up worse (went from "striking the pose" and pushing with nothing coming out to "striking the pose", pushing, and whining with nothing coming out over a 6hr period). I came home and gave her two doses of the Karo/warm water over a 2hr period and she was cleared right up (after 4 trips out to poop).
I use pumkin on all my dogs. goes both ways as Ed said. Gerber foods has a plant here and I had a friend whose job was to keep the pumkin they use up to standard. Traveled all over where ever they grow pumpkin for Gerber. They use it in most of their baby food to keep the little ones regular.
I know that your puppy is doing better now, but for future info, pumpkin is in the baking section of most grocery stores. You want to be sure and feed the pure pumpkin, not the pie filling. I feed it to my dogs several times a week and it really does help keep them regular.
Sometimes feeding too much bone will cause constipation. If this is happening on a regular basis maybe cut back on the amount of bone you are feeding.
Are you feeding any veggies? They will help with the constipation as well.
