David: Perhaps your dog has a lil great dane in him? I think those were crossed with ponies at some point, at least, thats what I keep telling my friends when their dane jumps up on me and is as tall as me, n I'm 6'2 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I add the egg as it is a raw food that has lots of good protein and calcium with the shell. He gets cage free brown eggs. I have given raw eggs to dogs in the past and seems to really help the coat

Sounds like something I may try. Does anyone else do this?

Raw eggs are an excellent addition to a dog's diet. My dog won't eat the shells whole, but she probably would if I ground them up. I don't though; I just crack them over whatever her meal is (I do raw and Canidae at the moment, but when the bag of Canidae is gone we'll be totally raw!). She LOVES it, and it does help with the skin and coat, as well as being chock full of protein.

My dog won't eat the shell whole, but if i just crunch it up a bit (the skin inside the shell still holds the crunshed up pieces together) he'll eat it up just fine.

I just gave both of my "boys" a brown raw egg. At first they couldn't figure it out. It only took a few minutes before they got the idea and ate them all, including the shells!
Thanks for the great idea,
