Well, to be "brutally honest, if you turn that first pic upside down, those puppy ears make her look like one of those flying fox bats. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> JKN, of course. Shes' beautiful! When I first got my sable pup, one of the gangbangers in my neighborhood told me what a good watchdog Akitas were. I told him it was a GSD, not an Akita. He then told me "Man, someone done a job on you". "I hope you didn't give no money for that"! Now that he's 18 months and 80lbs, He still isn't a GSD according to the neighborhood gangbangers. He's a POlice dog! I think she looks fantastic! If people don't know, then those people,..just don't "know", right? I mean, who cares what they think anyway? You love her, you paid for her, you feed her, she is YOURS! If they don't realize she's a GSD even after you tell them, than they have the problem, not you dear.
Some people do need to be educated ya know, not everyone knows that GSD's come in a variety of colors. The first time I saw a white GSD I was like,..what the hell is that? Even though my I knew it looked exactly like a GSD, I didn't believe it because it was white. My ignorance, now I know better after the very nice gentlmen explained to me.

Oh My Gawd.... That is what we call Romel, my brothers GSD, he looks just like this pup (about the same age) but black and silver, for the same reason..."Romel the batdog" ...hee hee <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Dear Tamara:
The pics of your dog look exactly like mine at the same age, only mine is a bicolor. My dog is also from a Czech female and a male DDR. I got those same questions all the time, still do. I ignore them. If you see any pictures of GSD's from the 40's and 50's, these dogs look exactly like them. They are great dogs. THey live longer and are able to work abe active longer. Enjoy your dog. I do.
