Hey, the burger idea actually sounds good. I am going to have to check into that!
Hi Steve and Melanie!
I am again going to thank you for your hospitality! I had a blast. I am not so sure dog people ever sleep. They dont seem to do much training during daytime. Yeah I know the heat but still. Kya is doing great. Kenneth has been building her bite and has used a lot of what you showed him with her. We are training about 2 days a week and every other weekend. So we are having a ball. Kya came up against someone else working her yesterday and took a ton of pressure (I actually was not aware that he would do that to her) from him without any signs of stress. So I think she is doing great.
Any time you want to come out here and stay here let me know, there is always a guestbedroom or the livingquarters (nice and cozy and private) available.
Next I would like for you to see my big girl. I would love to try for a BH with her end of the month.
Ozzie is doing great also. He loves legs!
Anyway I am already liking it here. Lot's of old friends and new ones too.
Sammy I have never denied being a bit cluesless!
Gisela,
I'm in Carencro, just outside Lafayette, LA. I think it's just under 200 miles South of where Steve & Mel are at. My club, Cypress Working Dog Association, trains in Woodworth, just outside of Alexandria, LA...which is about 65 miles North of where I live.
My parents live in the Katy area in the Houston. It's about a 4hr drive along I-10 to get from here to there. We're just North of where I-49 meets I-10 in Lafayette.
Hi all, we had great training again last night with some new people coming out from Houston to check it out.
With food again as well.
It is so much fun to be able to interact with a bunch of people. We have a variety of dogs in the group and so it is cool to see the different breeds work.
I am still a rookie so what can is say.
Hi! I'm new to the forums and Schutzhund. How's the club doing? Where is it located? I'm from Southwest Houston (Sharpstown area) and would love to join. Does the club also do Schutzhund? I'm interested in the sport and I currently do not have a dog that I want to train, but will get one in the near future. Would it be okay if I show up with no dog? I can be a great cheerleader.
Before I receive my furbaby, I wanted to know how to properly raise her for personal protection. I don't want to irreversibly screw her up-that would be bad. I know many trainers are biased against females for the sport, but I've seen some females that are great at Schutzhund.
Any and all info would be appreciated!
