Scavengers is right!!! I caught my dog snacking out of the cat box, right after his meal... Now THAT can't be good for him. The litter box has since been moved

After reading through this thread I had to put in my 2 cents. Food is food. Some food is good for you or your dog, some is bad and some is not that great but won't hurt you or your dog as an occasional treat or used in small amounts as a training aide. I would say what to feed is an individual choice but to buy into the propaganda that only dog food companies, which didn't even exist until after WWII, have the ability to properly feed dogs is ludicrous. If that's true we better start feeding babies "baby chow" and older children and adults "people chow."

Haaaaa, we have a bad case of this in my house too....hence the BOODA box, sorta a delux cat box with winding entrance steps.....the little scavengers can't get in...heh heh
If you are really worried about giving the dog human food, then YOU need to quit eating hot dogs. Or at least start buying the veggie things for yourself.
Actually, if you want to follow that logic I suggest you become a vegetarian and start your dog on the raw diet. Plant origin = you, animal origin = dog food. Pretty simple.
