How embarrassing to bring her back to france with a sissy IPO title. Have I mentioned my ringsport revolution?
he he he! I'm game. Still trying to figure out what she'll excel at. Right now she seems to be one who could do just about anything. She's a real trip.
I'm still trying to figure out the differences in all of this stuff (actually went looking at the ASR rules today). It seems that participation varies widely in France too...between IPO, FR, and Monioring.
She's only 8 mos old, and I'd like to bring her back when she is four or five...so I've got a little time to dabble and see where we fit in best. The problem is that I have no clue what I am doing with regards to these sports, and am trying to pick disciplines where I can get local support.
So...if you know of any good folks up here in Northern Virginia/DC area, be sure to let me know!

AKC is the only FCI recognized registry in the USA, they are not a breed club much less a parent breed club. If you want to be "safe" about FCI recognition, I'd go with DVG...
Mike,
Yes, I understand. I just wasn't communicating properly. The BCA (Briard Club of America) is the only National breed club. We don't have a split in our breed, where there is an alternate "working dog club" (yet). I've noticed that these working dog clubs tend to go by FCI standards, and I thought one needed affiliation with such a club to get an IPO title in the US.
My apologies. Now I am actually starting to confuse *myself*.
