So I have been thinking up some titles these knuckleheads might enjoy having with their dog.
IHAP This is one of the begining titles "I have a pedigree"
IHAPATCRI This is an addition to the first "And they can read it"
DAW & DAS These are for the less adventurous "dog awake" and "dog asleep"
IFR This title came about after years of nutritional confusion, so we now present "I feed raw" This is one of the advanced titles people train for years. It actually requires that one goes shopping (wheeeeeeewwww)
MDIBF Another of the advanced titles (not all dogs qualify for this one) "my dog is behind fence" is a must have for all outdoor dog owners
NC This title is so hard to achieve, many enthusiasts give up and have the pro's do it. "nail clipping" is one of our grooming titles.
RABG This title requires a different type of dog than we breed for here at the title farm "run about being goofy" is for our younger handlers.
I hav'nt given thought to what the rest of the manual might go like. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I admit that I often laugh out loud at your posts, but this one -- you've outdone yourself! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
My little dog is in serious training for the DAS title.......and both of my dogs are contenders for #1 in IER (which would be on the same manual page as IFR); maybe IER under 30 lbs. and IER 31-100 lbs.

If you would like to see photo's from the SDA events
OMG! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I tried to show my little dog (Oh, I might as well admit it and get it over with: He's a Pug) the pictures in the 2nd link of that Boston doing his fierce and frightening demo, but he says he's not interested in a career change at the present time.
I would LOOOVE to see videos of that! THANKS! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well, you have to look at this from a couple prosectives - I support it because at least they have UKC backing them up and UKC is the 2nd largest registry in the country - when you start thinking about all the BSL's and tree huggers trying to take our dogs away - I think its a good notion to recognize that at least a dog registry is willing to back a protection sport.
I am a helper for the organization - and have done all the trials but 1 (this most recent one) - yes they had around 80 entries for this last trial, but you have to realize, that the P1 class was very low because all the major players in the organization already have the P1 on several of their dogs - and we are waiting for the further titles to get approved by UKC - there has already been 7 or 8 trials which they all have had between 40 and 85 entries.
Yes its very similar to schutzhund - you have to look at who the creaters are to realize that - does it need some work - yes it does, but I have realized that Jack Rayl is open to suggestions and is always willing to improve it - you also have to realize that this wasn't formed over night - this has been in the works for a few years and has been legit for a few years now itself - and also some of you act as if its a secret - Jack was at all the national events talking to the big name Schutzhund competitors about it and taking their insights -
And further more, I like schutzhund myself, but when will the americans learn to break away from the SV - everytime I turn around they are taking something out of SchH and allowing more sh**ters to make it to farther titles.. Jack has even proposed that with UKC's backing to make another SchH organization with sleeves and with the old rules - nothing watered down, but then again, how many dogs these days can do that? Isn't that way they are making the titles easier - because the average age of a schH member is rising and the incoming USA members are shrinking? Don't think i am sitting here hating on USA - I am a USA member and certified helper... Just stating my opinions..

As said before, everyone is a critic - they do have videos of all the events, if you like to see one, contact the people on SDA's websites.

You know, I don't care how many dogs these days could do the old program. If you want to stop screwing the breed(which I think we all want better) than you do exactly that. So what if only a few dogs can get the titles. If you ask me I say turn it into the belgium ring program and toss schutzhund in the crapper. I like what they produce best of the ring sports. Better to strive for that goal, than getting some goofy title like "dog can bite sleeve 1" To many choices here people and guess where the majority are going to gravitate to? Why do you think they have all these wannabe protection sports now? Less emphasis on control, easier overall program. Sorry, look at what people want in Mals, Belgium lines. Look at the GSD's they are producing. Pretty good.

Jesse,
As one of the critics, let me ask a question in regards to what you posted.
You said:
"And further more, I like schutzhund myself, but when will the americans learn to break away from the SV - everytime I turn around they are taking something out of SchH and allowing more sh**ters to make it to farther titles"
So let me get this straight, your idea of getting "Americans to break away from the SV" is by working inferior dogs at a lower level and them awarding them basically bogus titles?
