That's a laugh, Jamie, our 'instructor' has taken himself off to South Africa, leaving several of his clients 'out in the cold' as we'd paid up-front for a year's training

Your "instructor" doesn't strike me as the most honest person I've heard of. Just because he says he is going to
SA doesn't mean he isn't moving to another part of the US?
If I were you, I'd get together with the other class members and file a complaint of theft, with the local police and/or DA. Looking on the positive side, you and your
dog are both better off out of this class.

Thanks, Thomas, but he and I were both in Spain, not the USA, and I am pretty sure he has now flown off to South Africa (he went there on holiday in July).
It just isn't worth the trouble of trying to crank-up the Spanish legal system(my Spanish isn't good enough yet) for such a relatively small amount and relating to a 'fugitive'! I don't have contact with the other group members, anyway.
I don't usually 'let things lie', but there is a time to do so....
