Chris - I hope you arent as racist as your post made you sound.
Well, given the fact that my grandparents are from France (there it's out, happy Thank God they had the foresight to become Americans, hint the last name Duhon (pronounced Do-yon in the old country, we Americans prefer do-hon) Lets see my father is black/Atackapa indian mostly with his grandfather being from Spain. My wife being French Creole (French, spanish=EU, black, indian) and her other half Hawaiian, yeah I guess if thats what you want to think

I loved the original post. What a hoot. I was raised in the military (service brat), and have no use for America's detractors/enemies. France has shown itself to be cowardly, backbiting, and a non-friend to America for a long, long time. So -- too bad, so sad for them. AND, I think 1 marine would be overkill. Maybe a Marine's teenage kid would do to bring things under control If not, who cares? I also love the unique approach to fire-fighting...

I have no sympathy for the French. Had they, Germany and some of the other countrys stood with us firmly in the beginning the Iraq war would have likely been unnecessary and many brave American boys would still be alive.
Please get your facts straight. France, Germany and some other countries were against the war, which in fact is, according to international law, illegal. It was your president that pushed for this war and he is the one that sends american boys overthere on false pretences. And if the reason for this war was the capturing of the Sadam Hussein than the Americans have no reason to blame the french because during the first Gulf war it was an American General that ordered a French regiment of Legionairs to stop a raid to capture Sadam Hussein.
Greetings
Johan
Johan,
My belgian friend, I see so your saying a US president sending young Americans to their death to free the French and the Belgians from tyrany in the 1940's was more noble than freeing innocent Iraqis that suffered daily under Saddam (much like hitler your would have been president) and are now threatned by other fanatics that want power, huh? But thats not what this thread is about it's about the funny as hell message Ed got from his Cindy's father, so lets not go there.
PS: The very unit I served in Iraq that lost men, was the very unit that lost men (alot more I might add) saving your country from an evil dictator, *sigh* the irony

Original post was kind of funny - but trick is in knowing when to stop.
Racism, nacionalism, sexism and other 'isms are baaad m'kay?
Please let's get back to dog training stuff...
this is going nowhere fast! Riots in Frace are ugly, they should have seen it comming, on the other side USA did not show that they were really prepeared for disasters on their own soil. Please don't go to politics on dog training board.

The original post was funny. Your New Mecca line wasnt. And clearly, the line stems from a deeper resolve.
That you think I was referring to your anti-french statements only serves to prove how deeply routed your predjudice towards Muslims is, that your 'oops did i say that out loud' comment was so natural for you.
Scary.

Reesie,
If you feel that Chris's bio is in poor taste, feel free to complain to ADMIN regarding your views and your interpretation of the intent of what Chris had posted. And please make sure that include how you came to that conclusion for ADMIN, since I certainly can't see how you're making that jump here.
If Chris starts to beg for money via a link in his bio, I will remove the link to his fund raising requests, just as I would for anyone else.
If you'd like to comment privately via PM, that'd be fine.
And as all we all have said...back to dog training.

Unlike any other powerful country, throughout history US has been proven just and helped the weaker side.
I am sorry what is happening in France, and hope peace will come there soon.
