On second thought - I blocked Mr. Wendler. Life is too short to have patience for shit heads and fools like him. (Sorry MOM - a shithead by any othwer name is a shit head !!!)
ahem!!
dear ed:
not a day or two ago you roundly called me to heel for typing the words "freakin'"--a euphemism--in this forum because of the public image you wish to maintain here. and now here you are, setting a very bad example for the rest of us.
care to retract? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

dennis, i'll reply more respectfully than you chose to. ed pays the bills and gives out plenty of good training advice, and he makes the rules.
however, he also does not have a public forum without a public. and it is my opinion (excuse me for having one), that ed should be willing to follow his own rules for posting. if he's exempt, and thinks it is OK for him post the word "shit" while he sharply rebukes me for writing the word "freakin'", then sorry, i've lost my respect for the man. integrity means walking the talk.
but, i think ed will probably come back and say he's made a mistake and edit his post. that's why what i wrote was a friendly ribbing, not an attack.

Frankly, I don't see what the point of this is or why it is being addressed on this thread rather than privately.
Secondly, there are no publicly posted replies from Ed to the post/thread in question making it even more innappropriate for discussion here.
I probably shouldn't jump in and post here, but some things leave me both confused and angry.

Well, Waylon
I wasn't picked on in school, in fact I wasn't even considering being a cop until 30 years old. I met some great people in law enforcement while training dogs and they raised my interest. I had another career, a good one, and decided to become a Deputy Sheriff in my community. I really like the place I live and work. Sometimes I meet people who simply have no character or have lost their respect for others and themselves. I'm not sure if you fit in that catagory or not. But, by reading your post I gather you would have complained that the cops didn't show up and investigate, but when they did you find fault also. They should have been clairvoyant and known that you of all people could not be the vandal, the burglar, not any threat.
As for the scared cop......well that happens, sometimes those cops grow into great officers, some leave, some find jobs in their department that suits them.
Easy to criticise Waylon but when a mistake subjects you to civil prosecution, criminal prosecution, internal discipline, and in many communities to various appointed revue boards, not to mention the FBI knocking on your door, you will find the "bad" cop a rarity. But, like a white Rhino, or a 1500 pound man he/she is sure to make the news.
I will close this thread since I started it. It wasn't placed here for Waylon to whine, but to point out the rare bit of support we get even though the Waylons of this world get more press time.
Police Suck........The majority of the people who make up the police force are the loosers who got picked on in Highschool. With thier new found authority and grudge against society, they spend all day searching for ways to get thier revenge by harrasing the general public. Here is a not so ammusing storie concerning the Fuzz:
My mom got a call from some people that live near a vacant house that my dad owns. They said the house looked like it had been broken into the night before...i.e. doors busted open windows broken out....typical vandal type stuff. So my brother and I go to check it out, at 11:00 in the morning. We get there and confirm what the people had said.......some trash broke in and commenced to tear the place up for fun. As we are walking out of the house, we hear...."police, we have our guns drawn come out with your hands up" So fearing for our lives at the fate of trigger-happy police we did as they said. As we round the hall and see them, the first thing I notice is the one egg head who was shaking because he was scared, and he had his finger on the trigger none the less. Great, Just what I look forward to every day. Some nut-job that has no business carrying a gun, and he is pointing it at me. Needless to say, these goons tried to arrest the wrong people. What a bunch of worthless scum.
Waylon

Alice - as I said in my PM to you - there will be no public retraction of me calling Mr. Wendler a shit head. Anyone with his attitude towards law enforcement officers falls into the SHITHEAD category. If you don’t like my web board or the way I run it - I have one word to say to you - "GOODBYE"!!!
