I was a little suspicious of Chris when he stripped down to show us his dog bite wounds. Now I'm getting this urge to poke my eyes out before he sends me a pic of himself in that outfit. LOL! Sorry Chris! Will made that entirely to easy.
Bob,
I can't take all the credit for the nationals here, He's so shy and modest about getting his due attention, Let me publicly thank my veteran coach, Will Rambeau~~
Chris, are you trying to tell me that Will leads? I think I better get off of this line of questioning before I have a front yard full of BA dogs and MP5s.
Back on my serious stuff!
From my understanding, the OFA will have 3 different people read the xray. Will the quality of the xray be taken into consideration, or do they read whatever their given? I've spent the day on the web looking up all I can on this stuff and it's created as many questions as answers.
As you can probaly figure out, even as old and doggy as I am, this hip stuff is all new to me and quite a stomach turner.
Thanks to Connie for tons of new info to read.
I've dealt with this as well...In your shoes...if they didn't reconsider...I'd be looking for another vet/clinic...My vets, their assistants....after about 15 years with the same clinic...KNOW that my presence and my assistance is for THEIR protection and the dog's control...It's not the dog's safety I worry about!
A vet being 'skilled' is not the same as a 'skilled' working dog layman...I'd definitely have concerns...BIG ones....I mean WHY take the chance??
Could you forward that list Connie gave you to me please if you still have it?
Just got back from the Vet Physio and he says I need to get my bhoy X-Rayed as he's sure there's dysplasia in his right hip.
One of the guys from my local SCH club also told me this yesterday, that's the reason I went to the Physio.
He's only 10 months old and I was really getting into the whole Sch thing too.
I'm just so gutted! I've never been this flat about anything before.
I told the guy yesterday that I much prefer straight talking and none of this "be nice to make you feel better" kinda talk, but it sure can hit ya hard when your not expecting it!!
Another problem......I just got him insured the other day (before I knew about any problems) as there was a good deal through the kennel club and now it's gonna look bad if I claim right away. The Physio said to give him complete rest and maybe do the X-Ray next week or so, does this sound about right?
