I picked up the puppy from the vet today, because he said he was better. When I took him home he had the same symptoms, wattery dirreah and vomiting. I called the vet back and he said since it was a difficult case he would refund my money.
I then took him to an animal hospital. They couldn't identify the problem, but recommended I admit him. They are going to put him on IV's, inject medication, antibiotics, etc. Basically it is the same thing the vet did.
Can someone please help me identify what is wrong with the pup?! Please someone!
Thank you.

There are others here with clinical experience. Meanwhile, I can say that you should definitely take that refund. To call and say he's better when he isn't because they couldn't figure it out....... (Unless I am misunderstanding the situation....)
Then I will say that I would not use that vet again.
And finally, the hospital will have better and more resources, including lab test capabilities, that your vet apparently did not have access to. (And I'm not making faces about that; I'm making faces about misleading you and sending him home rather than saying he needed better help.)
IMO, what will happen now is that they will support the puppy with IV fluids and nutrition while they do blood work to get a diagnosis.
No matter what the vet did wrong or was unable to do or misled you about, IMO, at least the IV support kept the puppy from dehydration.
JMO, and I hope others with wider experience will add to the thread.

Did they do xrays for a possible foreign body in the intestines? If it's soft (like a sock or something) it won't show unless they do a barium series of radiographs.
I would also have them consider giardia or a severe case of coccidia, if the parvo tests don't show anything.
Meanwhile, IVs are what this pup needs.

I am so sorry you are having this experience. We all obviously want the health and well being for our dogs.
They did rule out Parvo? Is that a blood test? If not, did the vet perform a blood test?
My question to you (and the question I'd be asking any vet) is about the blood levels, are they *all* within normal range? (ie: White blood cell count, Red blood cell count, etc.)
I actually bring this up because the vet told me what, 2 months ago, that it wasn't necessary to to a blood test, that it could wait, we could watch symptoms YADAYDADADAA...I asked him to please run the test. Turned out there were significantly elevated kidney enzymes indicative of kidney disease.
So. I do hope on one hand the blood test was completed on your dog and all levels are within normal range. But, that still leaves you with the vomiting puppy. The IV is right, and hopefully this clinic will have/find the answer.

Matt, I'm glad that the hospital has your pup on the IV! Is there any way that he could have ingested a poison? Maybe a house plant Good luck! Hope all turns out well!

I don't see a way he could of ingested a plant. He is crated when I'm not watching him, and when he's out of his crate I'm watching him like a hawk.
This hospital thinks it could be Parvo.
Btw, Mr. Izzet Gunbil, is paying the hospital bill out of the goodness of his heart which will range anywhere from $700-$1000. In my opinion he is an excellent breeder, and is very concerned about his customers.

Well, if I got a puppy and it was sick enough to require medical care so soon after delivery, I'd think that any breeder that wanted to remain out of small claims court would pay for medical expenses.
If that makes it "out of the goodness of his heart" to you, so be it.

It is not his fault that the pup is sick. When the pup came to me he was perfectly healthy, and was checked by his vet and my vet. It was a week after when he got sick.
Guys if this is Parvo, if tomorrow is his 5th day and he's on IV's is he pretty much in the clear?

IF it is Parvo, then 5 days is a very hopeful indication (IMO).

Yes, if he's made it to day five, things are looking good at this point ( if it's Parvo, that is )!
Matt, so you don't have to do the "take the dog home only to find out that he's still sick" routine, make sure that if they're releasing the dog to your care that he's been drinking fluids and has held down at least soft food - that'll be a big time saver for you.
