Hello, I thought that was while the bitches were living with her husband's ex-wife and/or with his mother (???) but maybe I was just giving our OP some benefit of the doubt on this point...
How anyone can live without a dog is beyond me... |

Oh, if that's the case, then I apologize to the O.P. There are only a few things on dog forums that can rile me, and casual breeding of pet dogs is a biggie.  Probably the same for anyone who has ever done any volunteering at shelters......

Of course, no prob, just didn't want to accuse anyone of something they may not have actually done -- And I worked with Sighthound Rescue pulling, fostering & out-placing shelter dogs for 20 years, so I hear ya <:-)

Please….can anyone think of another option besides killing a dog because of our mistakes??

Netanya, you and your husband are in over your head. Please listen and act on the advice you read here. Rehome two or three of your dogs. That is a nice way of saying find a rescue that will take them. Even if you have to travel to do it. Get on-line and find a rescue organization in Oklahoma.
If you keep a female, spay her. As Connie says, there are low cost spay/neuter programs. Please don't be responsible for bringing more puppies into this world. Then beg, borrow or.... a couple of crates. Build them if you have to.
Good luck with all this.

After seeing the O.P.'s second post about being unable to walk these dogs and unable to keep collars on them, it looks like Ruth is correct.
It probably seemed like a good idea at the time, as each addition came along.....
But this isn't a good situation, even after the second message from the O.P.: "None of these dogs had puppies on my watch, nor will they." (THANK GOODNESS!  And I do apologize for jumping on the breeding thing.)
I'd still start with feeding them separately tonight and from now on. Let each dog eat without being terrorized.
I'd get crates, no matter how or where, immediately.
I also say Good Luck, and good for you for finding your way out of this bad situation.

My feelings still stand, just not addressed to you.Your husbands ex- wife should read all this so she can educate herself and hope she does not continue with that kind of breeding .But in any event I apologize for jumpimg on you, I hope you understand the big problem we have with the shelters.I wish you luck with these females and know you got great advise from all the other ladies.I also think you and your husband have way too much on your plate with these girls and some would do much better in new homes.Not all but at least an amount that would be more manageable.Good luck.

Is there some reason why you and/or your husband do not work with the dogs you have and teach them some manners? I agree with everyone that you should keep all four dogs seperated at all times since your pack is having dominance fights. You say you couldn't re-home them because they are not housebroken, and have no manners. Well, teach them some manners. There is lots and lots of information on this site (for free since you say you have no resources), use it. Train the dogs, teach them some manners, do some work with them. If you and your husband aren't willing to do this, then attempt to contact a rescue group who will. And rehome all of them. I feel sorriest for poor Tia, who went from a loved housedog/pet to a yard dog through no fault of her own. I'm sure she was very upset and confused when this happened, no wonder she started to misbehave inside. And, bye the way, dogs do not "act out".
