Thanks for the warning, I'll definitely try to find a safer substitute. Yikes.
I hope he takes to it though; he's almost fanatical about picking up his sticks and it's my main training tool to get him to work in drive!
I remember the Pike clip too; those dogs are unbelievable... it seems like the handler is in telepathic communication with the dog for it to react so quickly and precisely.
Try using an old hose ,cut it up in a stick size or whatever size you want , dogs love to play with it ,I cut up an old hose just recently and now I have about 12 new toys to play with and it was cheap
Great ti stick in your back pocket and throw as a reward or simply a play toy, just dont lat your dog or pup play with it too too long where he atarts to chew off pieces , but they're great.
It's been awhile since I posted any new photos of Carbon. He just turned 6 mos.
Suddenly, within a matter of days...seriously, two days...he's has become a ball MANIAC! At the exact same time, he started showing some serious guarding instincts.
Anyway, after some fetch, I absent-mindedly started to bat our tetherball around. The next thing I know, I was playing tetherball against Carbon! It was so cool!
I went inside and spent a billion minutes locating my camera so I could film it and by that time he had pooped himself out pretty well. The video shows him playing solo, but when he first started, you wouldn't believe the jumps he was making! And his focus was beyond intense.
Amber, could that pup of yours possibly look any shinier and healthier??
We shall see! He's only on half raw right now!
Thanks you two, for the compliments. I had so much fun playing with tetherball with him...he won, but only because I was cautious of the snapping teeth!
