Then don't say your open to change your mind. Your obviously not. It makes me ill when people bash something they have never tried, especially when they say they are trying to learn. That's bullshit
Very interesting posts. I would love to join in but unfortunately my "expertise" is sport and bite development work not Police service. Don't take this wrong Bill Kurz but I could not disagree with you more. First of all Shutzhund was developed to measure the working ability of a dog for breeding purposes. Not street work. There is no trainer worth anything that will say titling a dog will guarente that he could perform street work. So throwing your trophies at someone was a little unfair. Is Schutzhund a perfect test for testing the working ability for breeding? No. Is the SAT perfect for indicating whether you will do good in college? No. They are both standardize tests and will give you some idea. Anyway even though I disagree with you. I can see from your posts you love your dog and have a great bond with him. Good luck.
Obviously you have not done enough research on electric collars, you have not watched anyone who really understands how to train a dog with an electric collar or you would not be so closed minded.
This thread is through with people trying to convince you about collar work. It is goin no-where. The purpose for this board is to answer peoples questions - enough of yours have been answered. I am closing this topic. People can start a new one on collar training. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
