I didn't say he was bad with kids. I just thought that maybe he was because we never let him near them. But a family from upstate NY came with a 4 and a 2 year old I think and he was fine around them. They were actually making him do tricks. It didn't work out because they had another dog that they brought with them and Stark didn't like that very much. They said that if it wasn't for their dog they would have definitely taken Stark with them.
How did you introduce the 2 dogs? When I introduced my Malinois to the "new" Malinois I had a snarl match. (Both are intact 2 year old females). I did it completely wrong and thought the dogs would never get along and end up hurting each other.
Well, Cindy set me straight (and I re-read a little article we have on the website about introducing dogs) and now I have 2 crazy Malinois that absolutely love each other.
This is not to say that your dog WILL get along with other dogs, but if done correctly with STRONG STRONG STRONG pack leadership by the new home, it might be possible for him to live with another dog. Strange dogs most likely will not get along right away. It was 2 weeks before I felt comfortable removing the muzzle from my new dog.
Good luck to you in finding your dog the perfect home.
He's not that good around small dogs/cats or children

Yeah I think it is too late for me to train him to be ok around kids. I know him too well and won't take that risk. I'd rather him being around people with no children.
I wanted to put the muzzle on him until he gets comfortable enough around the other dog, but the other owner said no and wanted to see right away if they would get along. I did not believe that this was the right thing to do, but since they were looking to take Stark I guess I had to let them do what they felt was necessary. Thanks.
Yes Lee, the time is running out. Too much going on right now for me to take care of him properly and eventhough I love him I feel that I should rehome him so he could have a better life and I could devote all the time to my kids.
