It should address every one of the arguments your fiancée (or vet) uses against raw diets. They even have a page on why there's so little scientific research done on raw vs kibble (basically for the reasons pointed out by the previous posters: $$$): http://rawfed.com/myths/research.html
I love that website. While it might not help you out with the specifics of preparing a raw menu for your dog (like the Leerburg website does), it has fantastic and extremely thorough arguments supporting the raw diet.
It will also address any concern that you (or your fiancée in this case) may have about the diet.
"But one must realize that there is NO evidence whatsoever to prove that kibbled, processed foods are good for your pets. "
And again, it seems to me that the logical demand for "proof" would be for proof that ceasing to feed what the animal had eaten and evolved with for eons and swapping it for a bag of dry cereal was somehow better for the animal.

I should print out CCs of that page and hand one to everyone who ever asks about "research to prove that raw is better."
Isn't it fascinating how Purina and Hills don't fund such a comparison study?
She is hardcore! Sometimes I think I would have better luck with a brick wall . She want admit it, but when I changed his kibble to Canidae and Innova. She said she noticed the dog smell was gone, his coat was healthier looking, less shedding, and no runny eyes. . . Oh well, I guess I lose under the pretense that it is still a theory.
Now you know what's it's going to like when you're married. If you try too hard to win this, it'll come back and bite you in the butt. DAMHIK
After doing raw feeding for about 8 yrs., I don't even try to convince anyone any more. I'll refer people to the books and web sites and leave it at that. Doesn't matter to me what they do or whether I win or lose the debates. I'll keep feeding what I think (and can see) is best for mu dog(s). People talk about what a noticeable difference there is when switching a reasonably healthy dog to raw. Well, talk to someone who's switched an unhealthy dog and see what they have to say.
Cindy's signature line is appropriate here: "Think for yourself and let others enjoy the privilege of doing so too."

I am with you on this, Mike! People will come around when they are ready and not a moment before, no matter what we can "prove" scientifically.
A huge part of my day job is helping people find a better way with their dogs, and I am quickly discovering that the people who do the best with their dogs and an appropriate diet use their head and do their homework. I have a huge number of folks who email me and want me to spoon feed them every little bit of information....I am thinking they are simply too lazy to do the reading and analyze the information for themselves. I'll always give moral support when I can but I won't hold their hand through every little step of the process.
