I iknow there are some handy wipe things that are much bigger so they can actually take kind of a bath with them...you have to look for them, but the guys that I had contact with really liked them. It's actually called shower in a can or something like that...anyway, just a recommendation. We'll be sending something, too.
It's too bad school is out cause I could have gotten my youngest sons' whole class involved and I think the kids would have loved the idea for sure.
My kids are happy to be involved, they had soo many ideas!! not many were possible but at least they put all their thoughts into it!
We are excited to go shopping Friday for such good cause.
With 4 children participating it will be a full box

Angelique (and anyone else with kids), I think having the kids participate is really great because regardless of what any of our political opinions are, soldiers need to know people at home appreciate what they are doing. It's a very important lesson.

Absolutely! And it's a very good way to make a soldier's difficult life understandable to a child. Seeing that they have to rely on others for some of the things children take for granted ("Why can't they just go to the store to buy these things, Mommy?") makes a very strong impact. It also teaches the children what sacrifice is and why people make those sacrifices.
My kids' old school adopted several soldiers and have continued to send them care packages. I think it's a great idea for schools/students to not only send packages but write letters to the troops. We got supplies for both soldiers today...thanks again Ed for the heads up!
We sent two packages today to Ed and Daniel...Ed, can you notify them to be looking for them if you talk to Jeff on the phone? We included many items you listed plus a few extras that were requested when my cousin was over there. Hopefully it'll make it there ok. My daughter also posted their info at church.

I went and got my stuff today to ship.
Just wanted to say that I found almost everything, but I could not find Copenhagen (or Skoal or anything like that) around here, even though I tried big drugstores, a liquor store, and a supermarket.
I'm only saying this so the people who DO have access to Copenhagen will get it and include it in their packages.
