Yes and now I have two the owners of the mom are tired of the pups. So I took another one I can take care of them better. They were going to take it to the city pound. Her name is jewel and the boy I already have is bear. I have the collars and they are both dragging a little ropes behind them.
Holy crap, what breeder in their right mind gives away two five-week-old puppies. (He was going to take them to the pound??) Five weeks is not old enough to be away from their mom.
Oh and here's some constructive advice. You NEED to read Ed's article about raising two puppies at the same time.

I know but I will not let a puppy die cause of the breeders if thats what you want to call him ignorants. I will save any animals life if possible the city pound kills them after 3 days. I hope i don't get criticized for this. Just trying to save a innocent pups life.
I hope to give one to a really good friend whose does not have a dog and would like one she has a big yard and is not married it is just her but not tell 8 weeks. She will get bear. I will thank you for the advice.

You're right that you must give one up. I'm glad you know this.
Perhaps the puppy-experienced board members will say whether it's better now or after a couple of weeks with one of the litter....
I agree that 8 weeks would be better than 5 weeks to send one pup to the friend. They will both learn some doggy etiquette from the litter mate and Stepanie's older dog.
Yes I agree, keep both puppies together until at least 8 weeks old. I was going to suggest finding a home for the second puppy but you already did that! good job.
Thank y'all they are happy together. I'm glad I found this web site. They are both thriving. The girl jewel was very under weight. I gave her the leerburg formula for 2 days and she has doubled in weight and now eating dog food with her brother. The food is watered down with the formula. They both just learned how to drink water. They will be 6 weeks tomorrow. Oh wow it is tomorrow Friday. 2 weeks will go by fast. I better enjoy it.
Again thanks for all the help with my pups.
