I just plain don't trust him. Any time someone goes off THAT much about some obscure topic, ...
Neither do I. There are too many flat-out untruths about Whole Dog Journal. Evidently he was upset when his product didn't make their list. (Keep in mind that WDJ advocates fresh raw diets as the top choice, BTW. Then THK, then some canned products, such as Wellness, and then no- or low-grain kibbles. WDJ accepts no advertising and are unbiased in their analyses. They do have an aversion to foods based on by-products.... but so do I.)
I use Abadys raw every now and again just to mix it up as much as possible. I wouldnt feed it exclusively because I really like to try and get the largest variety that I can, but I think it is a great food. They have excellent customer service, and I really think it is a company that is trying to put animals before their bottom line.
He's either on to something, or he's a quack. . . or maybe both. At the least, he's been eccentric for over 35 years
Check out some of his antics in this Sports Illustrated article.

I can't believe what he is saying. That is pretty nut.

What is it that you take issue with?
140lbs for a male bouvier! that is either completely insane or total BS....i have a friend w/a bouvier and they are not supposed to be that big.
also, if he couldn't get one of his stable attack dogs to release from a bite on a guy....ummm....
Did you see what he did? Yeah, I thought it was crazy enough. How he handled his show at a dog show and embarassed a handler. What is he doing? I'm guessing he remind me of someone, Edgar Allan Poe. When Edgar's wife died, he left her body on his bed.

Okay...I just didn't know what you were referring to!
The point of the thread is to examine whether the food is good or not. So far, we have only determined that he is a bit crazy. Let's cut to the chase! Is the food good or bad? Why?
