Glad to see that you can do something concrete for these dogs.
Sometimes you have to do the right thing. No email response from that PD yet. I've cross posted the link to three other UK based K9 sites whom we helped out when K9 Saxon was on the chopping block, and ultimately saved!
Not sure why this had to become a separate thread.....
Merging threads.
Since I am just now learning all the particulars of quoting and copy/paste, getting around the site with any degree of intelligence, lol, it didn't occur to me that I could just "bump" this thread. What did occur to me was that it was on the back burner and no one was seeing it so I just started a new one, sorry if I wasn't supposed to.
I didn't realize that I didn't have scripts turned on for that site when I first signed the petition so my name and my son's name didn't take. I thought it needed more time to show up so just went back and realized I needed to turn scripts on
So I proceeded to add my son's name to the list again (he gave me permission ), but then it wouldn't let me add my name, probably cause we have the same email and home address. Sheesh.....that's not right.
Woohoo! That's 166 more than when I signed this morning! Come on guys! All you have to do is type your name and make a personal comment and you are done!
I'm getting excited now! It's great to lend a hand to a worthy cause!

Well, starting a new thread to comment on an existing thread is never a recommended practice. Unless someone catches it and merges them, then there are two threads going on at once on exactly the same topic.
Green Bay currently has two police K9's. The police officers union has a contract dispute with the administration. The way things stand right now the K9 program will end on January 1 and the officers have been told their police dogs will be euthanized.
So I ask that you take the time to sign the petition or contact the Green Bay Police Chief and voice your position.
Call & complain to Jim Arts, Green Bay Police Chief, who has much say about the future of these dogs & this valuable program. 1-920-448-3200 or fax at 1-920-448-3248!!
If you visit other web board I would ask that you post this information on as many boards as possible. The threat of Killing police service dogs should never be a negotiating issue for a pay dispute. How unprofessional is that???
