Steve, also as a note - if you let the judge know that your dog is also a PPD ( or Patrol Dog, etc. ) the judge won't touch your dog, he'll ask you to display the ear tattoo from a far, usually...
Also, although your dog will be crowded, the dog will lecture the crowd *not* to touch the dog.
Back when I did Fetz's BH, I also did my civil-minded bitch at the same time. Thanks to precise Judge's instructions, it came out fine ( Although Betty Waldron was used as our sacrificial lamb and took the position immediately in front of Fetz for the crowd....brave woman there! )
And when the BH first became mandatory in 1991, all the SchH III dogs had to be tested, and there were some dicey moments in a lot of clubs back then as temperaments were often tolerated back then that wouldn't be now.
Yeah, I always hear people who have been in the sport a long time talk about that. For me, I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing. I love the training and the sport but I'm not looking for an actual protection dog. Thats my wife's job.

For some reason I'm the only one that will play with his tail on the long down with distractions.......

And yes...it's the judge that lectures the crowd.
Fetz finds it hard to lecture with a mouth full of decoy........
Very seldom will I disagree with you Will but I just gotta do it in this case.
Fetz's lecture by eye contact only is much more effective then any verbal instuctions a judge may give......
And speaking of scary things, Princess Weasel is expanding minute by minute. Keep March 5 clear on your calander for a hysterical summons from me........
