POLLY it was bladder, went away with anitbitics doc had sent down with him...I just knew I was going to lose him, he is running around like a big ol puppy now...No more falling over. That was from lack of food at the kennel, and the desire to live, he has a home, and wants to live now, so he is doing very very well . THANK YOU FOR EVERYONES HELP

Great news. And a great example of how many factors are involved when a dog seems ready to be PTS. It's not always black and white, and without an actual veterinarian diagnosis with bloodtests, xrays, whatever is needed to accurately diagnose an illness, it can't be known how sick, if sick at all, the dog really is.
Malnutrition, abandonment, depression, and as you said, a lack of desire to live, nothing to live for (such as was the case with your rescue), play a big part. We have to look at everything that could be affecting the dog and never assume it's a PTS situation.
I'm glad for the dog's sake that you held off and found out for sure what was going on.
