Is a)The bird dead
b)Young flew the coupe and it stopped
c)Trained bird via racket (electric or not)
d)Altered your route (which I probably would've done)
Since it even came up, I am curious as to the out come now! LoL
Don't leave us hanging bro.!
Since I was moving out of the apartment anyway, I decided to change my route for a couple of days. I moved to a big house with an even bigger back yard, but guess what... as soon as Ruy got out of the car for the first time, bam! another flying kamikaze. I couldn't believe it. He not only attacked him while on the front of the house, the bird went all the way to the back yard and claimed that territory as well.
Enough is enough, right? Indeed. Grabbed the pellet riffle, waited until he settled on the light post...
... and took my shot. BAM! ... just missed. Then he flies away from the post and goes straight to a tree. Guess what I saw there?
After I saw the little critter, I did not have the heart to harm any of them. I left the dog with my mom during the day so that he wouldn't get attacked right from the get-go and develop some kind of phobia towards the new house.
I checked the nest every day, and after a little more than a week, they were out of here.
Several years ago, my Mom lived in a neighborhood where her property backed up to a big open lot. Some mockingbirds set up their nest just behind her back fence. Being aggressive nest protectors, they were effectively keeping Mom out of her own back yard.
I went out with a broom and spent about 20 minutes duking it out with the birds (didn't hit any of them BTW -- didn't think I needed to.) They'd dive at me, and I'd fend them off. After a while, we came to a truce. If they didn't cross the fence, neither would I. Problem solved.

Mine was a light hearted comment on the situtation
Yours is for real
All i can say is that you live in a country without any morals at all if a person is allowed to go around with a pellet or shotgun to blast small birds out of the sky in a buit up area as some have suggested
If the birds are a danger to humans or Dogs then you must have a pest control office get on to the council and let them sort it out
