*barf* MRE crackers?!? To each their own, I guess, but I can't stand 'em.
LOL, if you eat the crackers first, you are too full to eat anything else...

(wo)Man cannot live on bread alone.
Used to be, the crackers were saved for Ranger pudding.
Now they just get crumbled up and added to the main dish for texture. That, along with tobasco, makes any dish palatable.

OMG...Ranger Pudding. Does that bring back the memories. Let's see, hot chocolate package, powdered milk, sugar and a dab of water, right? This was 30 some years ago, maybe the recipe has changed. The addition of the Chocolate Pound Cake would be good.

If you've got crackers, then the recipe goes:
Crackers, hot cocoa, water, sugar packet. Mix ingredients and stir.
If you've got pound cake, then it's pound cake, water (more than before), hot cocoa, sugar packet, stir.
If you can get ahold of the chocolate shake mix, you're in heaven.
Pretty much, Ranger pudding can be made with any MRE ingredients that will, when mixed with water, give the consistancy of glop. It's more Ranger glop than pudding, really.
Add the instant coffee packet if working a long shift.

Thanks....we will have a cooking night for a training meeting...LOL
Our Explorers are going to get to eat an MRE of their choice on our overnight that is coming up. Gonna be interesting to see their reactions.
Might make Ranger Glop for dessert for them.

we always say here in Ontario
Need a cop...just go to a Tim Horton's.
ummm...not sure if Timmy's are all over the states yet. But they are the most popular Donut/Coffee shop around here. Especially in Hamilton because the first ever Timmy's was built here in 1964, and is still in it's original location!
I just always assumed the draw for Officers was more the caffeine in the coffee than the actual donuts.
Don't complain....TRAIN!!! |

I love Tim Hortons! Well, I love their Timbits.... Never met Tim Horton ;-)
I occasionally go for ride alongs with officers on the night shift and got a kick over the fact that Krispy Kreme gives LEOs a 50% discount :-p

ohhhhhhhh ... We never had a Krispy Kreme here, the nearest one was 1hr away and it closed.
Well... actually... it's a good thing, since I do not need to be eating any more junk food!
Wendy... it's so true!!!!! Once I was driving on a two lane road in town (not my current city... i'll leave out the name) Anyway, a cop put on his flashers (no siren), passed me and another car across the yellow line, ran a red light, and turned into a Tim's parking lot. !! Must have been a coffee/doughnut emergency.

Or a silent alarm, a call for help. We respond to things like that as well.
