I'll just use his check book to buy myself some new wool socks from Bass Pro.
Yanno, socks are always on my own wish list!
Is it weird to love a sock drawer that contains every color, many patterns, and both regular and knee-length?
No it's not weird at all!
I love fun socks, with striped knee socks being my favorite! The only socks I don't like are really thick athletic type socks or those toe socks..toe socks are sadistic torture devices.
It is also not weird to have 27 winter scarves in varying colors, yarn types and patterns my favorite scarves are the really soft ones with pockets on each end to put your hands in!

*sniff* I always wanted toe socks, but alas, I cannot wear them. I was born with syndactyly of the toes.
I also really really want these shoes: http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/index.cfm but again, cannot wear them.
I have toyed with purchasing a pair and seeing if it is possible to modify them, since only my second and third toe are afflicted. It seems a large gamble, $90 with no promise it would work.

I want a pair of those shoes too! I want to try them on before I buy them though.... A local outdoors store is supposedly ordering them in the spring and I will try them on than. I love going barefoot so I am hoping these shoes are like that. I have heard of some agility competitors wearing them in trials.

I am going to go ahead and order a pair I think....(sorry Alyssa )
Called the stores in Rapid City that would be most likely to carry them (two hours away) and they don't have them.
Will report back......on comfort and also if they seem to be able to be modified.

If you try them, write a review on here. I've seen them in stores, but toe socks drive me crazy so i don't know if I could wear them.
I am obsessed with shoes, not girly shoes though-outdoorsy shoes only, as I am sure Ed would confirm. Zappos is one of the best websites ever (free shipping both ways)
I am animal obsessed, and I buy lots of shoes and saddles. Hey, it keeps me off the streets!

Well, I guess I'm not alone in my love of (non-girly) shoes.
I'm a big fan of Keen.
Of course, all else pales next to my trusty, broken in combat boots. 7 years and still going strong. I can't wear them in uniform anymore, but they're great for tracking, hiking and whatever else.
I really want an office chair back massager for Chanukah. All this admin duty it killing me.

Will do Cindy!
I am wearing Keens right now :-) Another great brand I have found is Ulu. I am the court attorney in my office which means I am on my feet for several hours a day and I can't exactly wear sneakers so I am always looking for shoes that I can use in court as well as run in for the breed ring. The Ulu mary janes are awesome.

I'm embarrassed to admit to how many pairs of Keens I own. (less than 20 but more than 10) I find they sell really well on Ebay, I wear them for a couple of seasons, run them through the washer and get a great price for them. I find they are very hard to wear out!
I'll check out the Ulus. Thanks Ingrid.
Right now my closet is taken over by Frye, Born, Simple, Teva, KEEN, Ugg, J 41, and a pair of Montrail waterproof trail running shoes (the only really waterproof trail shoes I've owned)and 2 pairs of Ariat riding boots that are more like a sneaker/hiking boot combo.

LOL, what is your Ebay name, I might have bought pairs off of you!
I have the Born, J 41's and Ariats. I also like Vasque boots. You could not pay me to wear Uggs though.... I know, I know, I hear how comfortable they are. I just can't stop thinking of Dan Ackroyd in the movie "Spies Like Us" :-p

I love Vasque that is what all my hiking boots are, and I love Merrel clogs and tennis shoes.
But my most comfortable shoes are my crocs. I know they are butt ugly but I don't care. I did see some cute mary jane crocs the other day that might be worth trying on.
