No Bloat is something different. The pups small intestine can actually be pulled into the large intestine - especially with diarrah and the intestines become blocked. The food can not pass from the stomach into the intestines causing all sorts of problems and eventually death if not corrected. ....
Yes that is how I would make the baited water if you can't find prepared broth.
The same process applies to using chicken to make the baited water.
I would try to get a syringe full of the pedialyte every 20 minutes or so as long as it doesn't cause vomiting.

Just went to the grocery store got some pedialyte and a plastic syringe. I think he is dehydrated.
Alyssa, I'm feeding him kibble (orijen) mixed with Innova evo can food.
Connie so I would I boil pedialyte with hamburger then put it in the freezer to separate the fat then reheat to room temp +or-
I'd give no kibble. I'd pour some water over the canned, too. However, right now I am with everyone else that I'd be fasting him except for fluids.

Yes. Or white skinless poultry with any fat gobs removed, in which case you could skip the fat removal.
You don't even have to waste it, because it will be used a little later when his gut is better and you start small soothing-foods meals.
Please post back about his pooping and any discomfort or lethargy. And please don't hesitate to get him to a vet if you are unable to turn around any signs of dehydration right away.

must've been posting at same time maybe the no salt broths will be more simple to prepare.
This is something I always always keep on hand, along with white rice and canned plain pumpkin.
The boxed broths are great, because you can just stick any remainder in the freezer in its box.
And now I keep this https://leerburg.com/icepup.htm , a powder made by THK which doubles as a warm broth mix, in the cupboard. I am using it to make warm broth to pour over the morning RMBs for one dog who gets the squirts if his first meal is 'fridge-cold, but I also see its potential as a first food after a bout of bad gut upset.
The smell alone is tempting. The house smells very good when I heat up the broth in the mornings.

I ask only because my dog had virtually the same symptoms at the same age as yours, and in the end we determined that the unequal digestion rates of kibble vs raw (and feeding both types in the same 48 hour period) caused a bacterial infection in the gut, and eventually severe colitis.

Again, I agree with Alyssa: I just do not believe the new "info" on other boards saying that mixing kibble with raw in the same meal is OK. I disagree.
But anyway, this dog is eating two commercial foods, I believe -- not raw.
