Hi Randy:

This story had a sad ending unfortunately. Although Blaze did improve significantly in the nipping area, she did not improve in the chasing moving objects area. He did do ecollar training with her and she did improve her recall but not completely.

After church labor Day weekend, my boyfriend Ron went to get her out of the crate in his truck to potty. Before he could get her lead on, she squirmed away from him, chased a motorcycle down a busy street. She didnt catch the motorcycle but when crossing the street to return to him she was hit by a semi truck and killed instantaneously. He saw the whole thing, it happened in about 30 seconds. He was devastated.

Blaze had completed her K9 certification and passed all segments. She had worked the Sheriffs dept the night before her death. It was and is a huge loss to our local dept as well as our family.

Ron recently purchased another DS and he has been accepted into the K9 program. His name is Reno.
