For a few days, weigh what he eats to make sure that you are staying around 1.5 lbs. Doesn't have to be exact, but at least close.
That's what I've been trying to do.
On the leg quarters, it seems like the majority of them are about 3/4 lb. Would there be any harm to me giving him only two of them a day, granted he eats them all?
We've also been doing a lot of training w/ food. I've used hot dog bits, ground turkey, and Natural Balance Turkey flavor food rolls.
Would that impact him enough to cause the loose stools?
If so, I don't want to stop w/ the training using treats. What would be the recommended treats to use? Cooked chicken? But we've also been using these treats for training the entire time..
I've also not gave the yogurt for the past couple days. I wanted to get his poop completely perfect on one thing. Would this somehow cause the loose stools as well?

Where the puppy people at?!
I'm really not sure about 2 meals a day. Since there is a problem with diarrhea I still think 3 would be better.
It would be kinda hard to blame the treats if they were there before the diarrhea problems started, too.
Have you ruled out any possible illness at the vet?

It really depends on the puppy.
I could never get Danke to eat three meals a day, no matter what I tried. She was insistant on only two.
However, if she'd been cooperative, I definintely would have fed three meals until 6 months of age.
Diarrhea can often be the result of overfeeding- not just overall, but too much per meal. Spreading the feedings out over three, or even four, may fix the problem if nothing else is working.

On the perfect-poop days, exactly what and when had he been eating? Leg quarters plus food rewards? What else?
Exactly what has changed between then and now (I assume he has soft poop again?)
Was there a change between 3 and 2 meals? This would not be a change I would make while trying to get perfect poops, because yes, it's the overfeeding PER MEAL that triggers diarrhea, not just excess calories in general.
Let's start over with review

Hi Megan,
My dogs seem to be sensitive to yogurt (maybe I give them too much or something) but their poos always seemed to get loose when I fed it, so I switched to Probios Powder instead
I still do give them yogurt on occassion just for variety but I give them just a very small amount when I do.
Just to ask - do you still have your bloodhound? I'm thinking your the one who was having some aggression issues with your 2 dogs like mine were/are - anyway, good luck with the new one

If we go back to the days (I think there were three, from a Friday to a Monday) of perfect poops, we can move forward one item at a time, and not adding a new one until the last one has perfect poops. And not changing the number of meals. I'd probably stick with cooked poultry just for a few days for training treats.
We/you want to know if this is a diet issue (I think it is, but I'm no vet). Perfect poops until a diet change is made pretty much narrows it down .... and makes it an easy (if careful) fix.

Sorry it's taken me so long... Yes Kathy I still have the blood hound that has the aggression issues, we're slowly working on it and overcoming it. He's actually the reason I've not got back sooner, I've been at the EVet. Jake's jaw locked open this evening.
I'm going to guess it is overfeeding, and the intro of liver.
Perfect poop days had been leg quarters plus treats.
I have no clue what his last poop looked like. He's been in an outdoor kennel all evening. But it was runny. It was normal colored if that counts for anything.
He had his first 3/4 leg quarter this morning. I then fed him half of a 3/4 lb leg quarter this afternoon. He ate all of both of those meals. My mom came and gave him the other half of the qaurter around 8PM. I don't know if he ate all of it or not, as it was fed in the kennel. There aren't lights by them, and I've not bothered to look yet.

One more little thing.
Have you tried any chicken RMB's other than 1/4er's?
My dalmatian, and a few other dogs here lately, have had problems in the initial stages with chicken 1/4er's. The upper portions of the bird are going to be a leaner, white meat.
If 't'were me, I would do my best to find chicken backs. If not chicken backs, I'd find some whole fryer chickens and cut them up myself.
Maybe its the dark meat or the denser bones in the 1/4er's. Just a thought.

I have to order backs in bulk supply, and I don't have a deep freeze yet.
But I could do fryers.
I'm going to attempt 4x a day feedings, and see if that helps. I don't know if I'll be able to saw the bones in half with the knives I have right now for tomorrow. If not then I will get approriate utensils.
Say I need to feed ~1.5lbs a day. That's what I'm doing. Could he possibly be getting too much at one meal and that be the reason for loose stools? And the reason for increase numbered of smaller feedings per day? And if some one has already said this I apologize it's took so long for it to sink in.

First, do what she says. Then see the vet to rule out illness. Then you might try a different-part-of-the-bird approach.
