I am very much excited about this school. I don't know what I expect to be different but I find my self looking at that site just about daily to see if there is any new information added. On top of that I am just figuring out my work schedule so that I may attend just about every class within the next 4-5 months. It is nice because I work mainly at night so it leaves me with free time during the day.
Thank you very much Ed for putting what was recently updated. I just didn't want people to get their hopes up of the school being right next to the airport and that's why I mentioned it was in Fairfield. Actually Fairfield seems like the perfect place for a school of this calibur because there is a lot of room to expand over there, especially in relation to San Francisco.
Also connie, thank you for that little slim dvd review. I have been on the edge of my seat waiting to get this dvd but just recently ran into an issue with a dog being thrust onto my doorstep. A 7 month old rottweiler with a bad elbow due to trauma from the previous owner to be more specific. I will however be buying this dvd within the next week or so and will also have to figure out how to manage school and surgery for this dog if it is even possible at all. But either way, I will make it happen. I look forward to seeing other faces there as well.

I promise to start a new thread when I have watched the rest of the DVD. It's an exciting one, and it follows the Marker DVD beautifully. I have seen comments in other threads (all glowing) and am hoping we can gather some together into one thread as well.
Marker training was really an inspired and great "theft" from the marine-mammal trainers, wasn't it?!
Very exciting about the school. It seems a long journey for a Midwesterner, but I do know the way to the airport.
I recently got two rescue dogs, a Catahoula and a GSD. Also, the addition of a puppy. I quit working and finally had time for training again. Yay! Then the first Michael Ellis DVD came out. Excellent!
I began training about 10 years ago with food, luring and marker training. Those aspects of Michael's training were familiar to me and it was a good fit. I had gotten sloppy, forgotten principles and was in a training rut. After getting the DVD my training took off. I was amazed and so were the people at my club! The dogs made a quantum leap in learning.
So, Ed, hope your recovery with your knee is going well! I can not wait for the next DVDs. Anxious to see the tug work and really need that competition heeling. I do appreciate the taking of time to make sure the content is good and the flow of information works, but I check the website often hoping, hoping...

I'm trying to convince the girlfriend that it would be a fun use of our vacation fund... i don't think she gonna go for it.
oh well save up and go on my own.
does anybody know what the deal is with where your dog stays when your down there... does Micheal board dogs or do the local hotels allow you keep your dog in the room?
