Maybe 'not much' but 'none' is a bit hard for me to swallow.
Me too! But I would be happy with 'not much' if that IS the case, seeing as how I don't have much choice at this point with having to use it. I think I'm feeling a little better about using Frontline than Comfortis - that definitely is going into the blood stream.
We also *strongly* discourage wildlife from bedding down in the yard. Paintball guns work just as well on raccoons, possum, and deer as they do on teenagers. (disclaimer) please follow the laws of your area lol
I use an Airsoft gun. They are more like a real gun with good sights. The one I have now is electric. Paintball guns use compressed air which can leak when not being used. Batteries stay charged until you use them. They also use smaller cheaper plastic BBs that don't splatter paint all over and best of all they are full auto. Unload on a raccoon or opossum at 800 rounds a minute at 400 fps and they will definitely respect your yard.
I just wonder if it's true that Frontline doesn't get into the blood stream!
That's what they say, citing translocation via oil glands as the spreading method.
I'm not really convinced that none gets into the bloodstream.
I used to believe their PR, but I remember reading that there has been some research that has found the fipronil (active ingredient in Frontline) in dog urine. Hard to make it thru the kidneys and into the urine without going into the bloodstream first.
Wish I had some idea where I saw it so I could site it...
