Like Steve and Michael, I'm thinking too that wanting to eat will come back with exercise. I know that Steve had no knowledge of the situation when he posted, but his post injects a positive note.
Having to work the dogs helps me out of many down periods, but this down period for Alyssa's house is going to take a ton of effort to even dog-paddle through (never mind try to rise above). I know that we are all urging and hoping for a little recovery as time goes by. Nothing big, not yet, but even a glimmer of some normalcy in routine will be huge.
Like Michael, I find it much easier to sympathize than I would find it to deal with any of this myself.
Sorry to hear of all your troubles ALyssa :-( Could a club member maybe take her for awhile while you are trying to work through things? Or would that be more stressful for her and/or distressing for you? How about Danke's breeder, could she take her for awhile?
Still slacking in the training arena.
I am, that is, not her.
In fact, she's more enthusiastic than ever, and even seems (I never would have thought it possible) more eager to please. I suspect it's half maturity, and half desperation.
Her appetite is back with force, however.
She's eating heartily, and starting to put the weight back on (thankfully).
