Oh no, the dogs.
Not the people, they don't like other dogs going near their master. Like my mom's dog, will growl, bark, and jump/nip at my shepherd when my dog tries to play with my mother.
And my grandparents dog will follow/growl at other dog if it's in their house.
I'd look look for a shelter with a foster program or at least an adoption coordinator. Tell them what type of dog you are looking for. They should be able to help.
Also let local vet offices know that you are looking for a certain type of dog. Maybe they'll have an client that needs to rehome a dog for some reason. Or know of a rescue dog or retired breeding dog that might fit the bill.
