Mixed with our last name (Garrett Barrett) always gets a chuckle and it stuck.... Rhett Colvett had a nice ring to it.....
I had a dog named Garth, and for some reason hearing him referred to as "Garth Smart" just seemed hilariously ludicrous, it even made my sullen vet (at that time) crack a smile. I like the idea of 'blending' with the last name for full effect.
I have to say though, 'Kevin' has a nice ring to it....
Oh I've been calling Harvey, Harvey Thomas when I need his attention.... no clue why. I guess LJ will be called Leroy Jethro quite often, too.
I have a friend who rescues large & giant breed dogs with issues. She has a great talent for socializing them to live within a doggie pack and in a household with family members. To lighten things, she always names them by their collar color or pattern. She has pink, green, purple (my fave dog), flower, puppaw, and more.

Wow middle names!! Never thought about that. Just when I thought we were done, opens up a whole new set of options. I'm kind of partial to the name "Kevin" too.
Was just going over it in my head... Echo Kevin Barrett. The slower I said it, the more it sounded like a low budget police show with an officer trying to recite a licence plate.
