Based on history you've given and shredding of bottles I would make an emergency trip to the vet. No dog should ever play with a toy it can shred. I'm confused by the statement that it is a bit warmer, but no big change. are you talking the dog or the weather.
I have no opinion on the heavy breathing.
REading your posts it is evident to me that you really don't have a handle on what your dog could have ingested.
If a blockage symptom is dead intestinal tissue as waste builds and blood flow is lost. Time is the enemy.
It is likely you need an x-ray. there is a built in delay to the x-ray for the barium swallow. If it was me I'd be in to the vet as soon as possible. AM
Is this a sudden change or did this happen before? Does Karly have difficulty breathing? My dogs snore, grunt, whine and bark, they pant and chase things in their dreams. When Connie had pneumonia she had difficulty breathing, that was very obvious and you could tell that was not normal breathing. Ask your breeder and vet, they'll know.

Am i paranoid?
A little.
And a slow learner. No more bottles.
Yep. Always do you best and you could fret all you want
Ok yes i was talking about the weather. It a a bit warmer but no drastic weather change. This kind of breathing has never happened before! Too strong! Just panting non stop. No more bottles! No more bottles! Cant believe how dumb that was!
Could intestinal blockage cause all that breathing?
M gonna add to the panting "loud stomach noises".
Now m suspecting bloat ( he does become very energetic after meals ) ..
But he s not in pain, so salivating, no vomting..
It s 4am here. Taking him to the vbet first thing tom morning
I got crates the same day after reading about bloat on this website. No more horsing around after meals - everybody goes into crates after meals.
that s what m doing from now on.
michael, bottles are out for good. i dont care if he just bites on his rubber ball all day or gets bored. as long as i dont have safe toys (which i hopefully will in a couple of weeks), karly isnt putting anything in his mouth. (yes an i guess i am a bit of a slow learner. i need to work on being more categorical.
i figured if my son wants to do something that might endanger him, m definitely not gonna let him do it.

Heavy breathing *can* be a sign of distress.
Is he still breathing heavy?
Has he ate or drank anything since the heavy breathing started?
Playful?
If you REALLY REALLY suspect something serious then you need to get help.
he kept at it till 6am! and it finally went away. didnt sleep one bit yesterday. i gave him food at around midnight after he woke me up the first time, thought it might sweep away anything he might have swallowed. didnt help.
btw he isnt drinking that much but is peeing normally...
woke up today, no panting but lethargic, ate quarter his usual portion. called the vet, he said it s not an emergency anymore because it passed. it cant be bloat and if the plastic thing was actually causing the panting he would at least try to puke it.
stomach noises could ve been caused by the food. in all cases, he s at work with me so i can keep an eye on him, any sign of distress and m taking him directly.
Mariellena m really touched by your message. thank you
