I quit watching TV cold turkey with the digital swtich. It's been a year, and I don't miss it.
Granted, I do watch when I'm hanging with friends, but I refuse to pay for television.
Just caught the first few episodes of "Firefly". What an amazing show that was. Hoping to see the rest soon.

I'm addicted to crime shows. I like fictional ones like CSI, NCIS, Bones, etc.; but I also dig the "real" ones like Forensic Files, Extreme Forensics, etc. I also watch just about anything on Animal Planet, including "Whale Wars" which (for some unfathomable reason) my daughter and I never miss.
My favourite show of all time is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I HATED the movie but I love the series. I was also a very loyal "Mash" fan.
We couldn't get any TV where we lived for about four years, and didn't really miss it. But now that we are in town and have cable again, it's our guilty pleasure

but i was confused, on spike last night they were showing Ultimate Fighter with Liddel & Franklin as coach's?? I thought it was a re-run...but wasn't the last Ultimate Fighter with Liddel & Tito???
Tito backed out of the fight with a neck injury. If he wasn't going to fight, Dana wasn't going to keep him as coach.
Rich stepped in to take the fight and also took over the coaching spot for the show.
How good was Court Mcgee's and Brad Tavares's fight?

Talk about crushes, I think Kristel and I might have to duke it out over David Boreanaz... there's clearly a theme in her "likes".
We Netflicks anything that we're really interested in keeping up with - too much trouble to schedule time to sit on the couch, plus I refuse to pay for more than basic cable, which, now that Lost is over, leaves us without most of the best programming (we've been Hulu-ing Lost too though... again with the difficulty in being in front of the TV at a very specific time each week - waiting a while then watching back to back episodes with little to no advertising is where it's at ).
Dexter, Mad Men and True Blood (not one of my favorite favorites, but I think it may have the best opening credits of all time) all come out on top. Best ever? For so many reasons, The Wire was simply extraordinary.
Oh yeah, my guilty pleasure, contrary to the respectable programming above, is... wait for it... Gossip Girl. Yup. That's right. In all honesty, I love that show.

Yeah, David Boreanaz is delectable. I also had a 'thing' for Spike though. I dated a couple versions of him in high school and college

If that's the case Michael,
I don't see the television having much of a future.

ahhh..ok makes perfect sense now....i didn't think there was a new Ultimate Fighter out yet. I couldn't watch all of the last UF due to timelines.
Awesome fight....but as much as i love these shows...sometimes i do have to look away when the fight gets a bit too intense.
thanks for filling me in, i thought i was going a bit senile.
Don't complain....TRAIN!!! |
