barbara will you check out the website i just posted. the female that will be having a litter later on is named barbie and you can look at her pedigree information on there......all of her german shepherds are euro bloodlines. and a lot of them are schutzhund 3.
I'm going to let the more experienced folks give advice on the pedigree... If I knew more about them, I would not have purchased my wonderful, loveable, love of my life dog.
Jeremy, I didn't understand that all Schutzhund III dogs weren't "working line" dogs - I didn't know the difference at the time. I love my dog, he is a great, great pet. But if I KNEW i was going to be pursueing Schutzhund, he is not the dog I would have purchased, knowing what I know now. Where are you located?

The sire she is using is from outside her kennel. Im wokring on getting his background but the owner has been in labor the past 48 hours with her 2nd child.when i get his pedigree i will share it with you guys. My local vet that used to raise German Shepherds is the guy that recommened me to her 2 years ago. Ive been there several times. Should i set up a date with her and have her show me some of their working abilities? what do i need to focus on? The name of the kennel is after a creek that runs through their land. Their training instructor is the head of the K9 unit for that city.(stillwater) might not be head but he is with the K9 unit and helped me with a little training on obedience when my first pup was young. Brush creek hasnt bred their bitches in 2 years. I know she has been doing this for very long. The reason she told me she was breeding with outside of her kennel with this litter was " it should add more substance into the pups, ,more bone, more thickness basically, more importantly his father is world known for his pedigree and work. so this will certainly make better working pups and the strong nerves the working lines carry along with the pretty show lines is a very nice combo, kind of like a good looking rocket scientist"....I know she wouldnt do me wrong or lie to me. Prob the most honest person i know when it comes to the truth about her dogs. She would totally understand if i decided not to get one, and would help me try to find the right match for me...I havent personally had a chance to see the difference between a showline and a working line. I dont have the experience yet. Im just now getting started. after all this....do you guys think im setting myself up with failure?

Thanks Aaron. i currently have a 2 year old female German Shepherd. She is my first one and it was a NIGHTMARE with her breeder. Lied to daily, took a year to get the papers, hip dysplasia. I have a 1 year old son. thats why i havent got another one. Plus i still have some fine tuning to do with my female. How i got into Schutzhund. I have been researching it for a couple months and i think its something that really interest me. Im wanting a new hobby. I know if have my work cut out for me, but im ready. It wont be unitl november or so until i get a new pup. I ahve a 50 day turnaround coming up at work and that wouldnt work out good with a pup.
Im still looking for a Schutzhund club in oklahoma. I was told there are 2 in tulsa. I will get a hold of them and set in on some of their meetings. I have a lot more to learn.
Yes the breeder is very understanding of this. She talked me out of getting one when my wife was expecting.
As soon as i find out the Sire with barbie i will contact you Aaron. At this point I'm a little confused and ive been bugging the hell out of people with questions.
The owner of Brush Creek is on vacation in Cali right now but when she gets back im going to go visit her and the dogs again.
Jeremy, I would go the these people to buy a side of beef from their cattle ranch to feed to the pup that I went elsewhere to purchase... unless you want a 'fake' working dog. These people are breeding pets that will bark when someone comes to the door.
Hell, I had a toy poodle that could put most showline GSDs to shame in that department.
These are pretty much showline dogs with showline SchH titles. With the exception of the black male on the males page that has a number of good working dogs in his pedagree. But there is not indication that he has even worked or titled.
Pups from excellent working lines can still be a crap shoot, trust me, I know. I would sure want whatever odds that I can get stacked in my favor for a successful outcome for the $$$'s spent. Even at that there are no guarantees of anything, so why start with a poor chance of a good outcome from the get go.
The difference between a really nice working line dog & a realy nice showline dog are light years apart. They are like comparing apples & oranges.

I do know the sire was already titled before the owner got him. This lady that has the sire is the breeder that screwed me on my first dog. Brush creek knows the situation on this and said they have done their homework on this sire because they know she likes to come out ahead. And i they understand if i dont want to have anything to do with her again. I text for the full name of the dog. I dont know how old barbie is Aaron . I will have to ask. I just know that she took a break from breeding for 2 years. Her stud dog Diego, well he had to retire because something happened with his junk. i will have been to the kennel several times when working with my female. Visited with the other dogs. Etc.

The female i currently have is great. Minus the hip dysplasia. Her obedience training is going very well. I have only been doing it for 5 weeks. And seeing what these dogs are capable of...that is why i want to do schutzhund. i love watching them work and i love the challenge. i know i have tons more to learn and im learning daily. I ll just wait to talk to brush creek and set an appointment up and go watch them work with the dogs. i dont know of any other respected breedrs in this area. im very hesitant on all the online crap. Too many people out to make money and not care about their own breeding.....
