What do you guys think about Karen Pryor Academy? I have not seen anyone recommending it but it's only 1.5 hour ride from my house. I cannot leave for even overnight so anything else outside of TCA online would be out of the question for me.

I attend some Karen Pryor seminars back when I was doing AKC OB more than protection based training - she knew her stuff and was an interesting speaker ( and had *great* demo dogs ), she'd be well worth your time to train with ( if *she's the instructor, if she's not, then no way to tell..... )

You would need to check to see who the individual instructor is for your area. Karen Pryor Academy is kind of a mix course of online and in person which is franchised out to a local instructor. $5300 isn't chump change IMO to just fork out to anyone.

They have a pretty nice website (Karen Pryor Academy), and you can link to trainers who have completed her program in your area. Just as an example, here's a guy in my area who has some pretty decent training chops, from his link.
