Opps sorry to answer a question from above...she seemed fearful because I caught her going in the house...I wasn't mad. I just took her out right away as suggested before.
I'll look at the video first and then I'll look at the trainers and I'll hold off of Catherine for now!
I don't want Marley with a bad trainer that would not help at all!
The reason I suggested for you to read the ebook is had I not read it and had I not been reading just about every post here for the last three months I would have let this last trainer completely ruin my dog. I would have simply not known.
Oh and she is ahugger! She will get in your lap if you let her! And she leans on you waiting for that moment...then when you do she leans in to you more and wags and whimpers and starts crawling up on your lap. She is a hugger for sure! LOL
Thank you Lenka! I do understand and I will certainly take a peek and do my homework tomorrow. She isn't suppose to come until next week so I have a little time to look things over.
I like the groomer that I found for her and she to comes here! But I will do more work on the trainer first!
Michelle- I would recommend http://leerburg.com/308.htm & Dealing with Dominant and Aggressive Dogs DVD.

I believe your dog is in limbo and confused with who is the leader. Rescue dogs may have come from backrounds of starvation, or lack of shelter, but most have never had a leader. I would not encourage OB classes at this time, this will only confuse her more. Seperation anxiety can stem from the dog seeing you as the follower. You need to let this dog know you are leader through confidence, not empathy.

Michelle, this could be more insecurity/uncertainty rather than "affection" as you and I think of it. Don't correct her for this at ALL, but I'd look for times when she is calm and comfortable by herself and reward her for THAT behavior. If you see her laying on her bed calmly watching you, mark THAT behavior and reward, as an example.
