Also, where do you feed him at?
Try feeding in his crate, in your room where he sleeps, & where maybe more calm & relaxed. Less stress of, his perceived, competition, & other strange people or dogs.
their being fed sepretly and still puking just an hr or so after he ate today and same at night time . I'm giving him a snack befor bed time to hold him over . He is playing with his toys and seems normaly no pantaing or anything like that just the vomit
Reason being, I have two dog household, my son's Cairn Terrier, & my gsd; I make sure they are out of site, sound of each other (one outside, when one is in another part of the house eating type arrangement); even tho they are bud's & get along, simply because any awareness of the other, just seems to naturally trigger gulping, or hurrying, or nerviness regarding food. & I am not talking about aggression at all, just food hurryness (is that a word?)
& I want both to relax when eating raw food, bones, ect.
Other than that, I would focus on the Pack Structure (to reduce stress) & the article by Ed on "Intoducing a dog to the home".
I don't know the link, but you can use the search function & find it easily.
If it is a nerves issue, the above will reduce stress, for both dogs!

If the dogs are separated, he's throwing up closely after eating, and he's showing no other signs of anxiety I would plan a vet visit to check for IBD. I may be overly cautious because I have a dog with IBD, but this does sound like symptoms, especially if he's had episodes similar to this before.
Yes, seems like a gastric problem, but eating & poop he said were normal?.
That is what took me back to nerves, pack structure, & introducing a new dog to the home.
yea the puking he had before was mostly dry and clear in the am from being hungry . and the other dog is not around when he eats he is in a diffrent room upstasirs so he cant even see him . i just came back from the mall and was gone for a few hrs and he has not vomited yet , so maby things are looking up
